Riding without a helmet: CCTV cameras installed on the street identify those who break traffic rules, but now they also catch those who are cheating in the relationship. Yes! Something similar happened recently in Kerala.
In Kerala’s Idukki, a man was caught cheating on his wife over a traffic incident. In fact, on April 25, this man was riding a scooter with his female companion without wearing a helmet. His crime was recorded by the traffic camera installed on the street. The scooter the person was riding on was registered in his wife’s name.

The very next day, Kerala Police sent the man’s photograph, along with the traffic report, to his wife’s registered mobile phone number. The woman was shocked when she saw her husband’s picture with another woman. When the woman asked who the woman sitting in the back of the scooter was, her work was exposed.
We tell you that the Kerala Motor Vehicle Authority deploys 726 artificial intelligence cameras that take pictures of traffic offenders and send them along with calls to the vehicle owner’s registered number. The person was not wearing a helmet while riding the scooter that day, which is why the camera recorded his image clearly.

According to sources, the image of the person riding the scooter without a helmet was captured by the surveillance camera. As his wife was the owner of the vehicle, a message was sent to her phone via the challan.
To prove his innocence, the man said the woman on the scooter belonged to his office and he was about to take her with him. The woman later filed a complaint against her husband for misconduct towards their three-year-old child. As a result of the wife’s complaint, the husband was jailed under IPC Sections 321 (Voluntary Injury), 341 (Unlawful Restraint) and 294 (Obscene Acts) and Section 75 (Assault or Neglect of a Child) of the Juvenile Courts Act was imposed.
The man was later produced in court and remanded in custody after his bail application was denied.
