TVS Apache: The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer TVS has flown the flag worldwide. The company has reached the sales milestone of 5 million units worldwide for its premium Apache motorcycle line. This series was first launched in 2005 and is sold in more than 60 countries. In fact, in 2005, TVS Motors needed a premium brand to keep Fiero customers interested, and so Apache was introduced. Originally a 150cc motorcycle, the E-Surge 150 has been updated to the “RTR” 150. This short name stands for “Racing Throttle Response”.
The TVS Apache series builds on the legacy of the company’s factory racing team and has been updated several times over the years. Several segment-first features such as Race-Tuned Fuel Injection (RT-Fi), Ride Modes, Dual Channel ABS, Race-Tuned Slipper Clutch and SmartXonnect have been added each time.

Bicycles come in 2 categories
TVS sells the Apache Series motorcycles in two categories, Naked and Super Sport. The naked category includes bikes such as the RTR series TVS Apache RTR 160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, TVS Apache RTR 180 and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. With the TVS Apache RR, the company entered the super sports category in 2017. The company introduced the BTO (built-to-order) platform for the TVS Apache RR 310 in 2021.

Sells 5 models in India
Total sells 5 Apache series models in India. The cheapest model in the series is the TVS Apache RTR 160 with a 159.7cc engine and 15.3 hp, while the most expensive model is the TVS Apache RR310 with a 312.2cc engine and 33 hp. The price for the cheapest Apache model starts from just Rs. 95,000.
TVS offers advanced features
With the Apache series, the two-wheeler company is making many features available to its customers for the first time. To delight customers and keep the thrill of owning an Apache alive, the company has the Apache Owners Group (AOG), a group for like-minded TVS customers. About 2.5 lakh customers are affiliated in this group. The participants of this group are spread over 60 cities in India and worldwide.
