2023 Honda SP125: Besides car buying, commuter motorcycles are still in high demand for everyday use in India. The current market leader in this segment is the Hero Splendor King. It is the best selling bike in India. However, to compete with the Splendor, Honda has now played a new game. Honda has launched its popular SP 125 bike in India with a completely updated version. The new 2023 Honda SP 125 has been launched in India with a starting price of Rs 85,131 showroom-ex.
Launched in two variants, this premium 125cc commuter motorcycle now gets an OBD-2 compliant engine to meet the new emissions standards. This bike can now also run on flex fuel (E-20). The disc brake variant with the bike’s top of the range alloy wheel is priced at Rs 89,131 from showroom. The Honda SP 125 competes with other 125cc commuter bikes including the Hero Glamour, Hero Super Splendor, Honda Shine and TVS Raider.

What’s new on the bike?
The SP 125 launched with the updated version has been enhanced with several features and is now compliant with the OBD-2 emission standards that came into force in April this year. The SP 125 is powered by an air-cooled, fuel-injected, 123.94 cc single-cylinder engine. This engine is capable of producing 10.7 horsepower and 10.9 Nm of torque coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. Honda also offers a new Matte Marvel Blue Metallic paint finish and a wider 100mm rear tire with the SP 125.
