2023 Honda Shine 100: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India recently entered the 100cc motorcycle category with the launch of the Shine 100. The new 2023 Honda Shine 100 is the company’s cheapest motorcycle and launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 64,900.
It rivals Hero Splendor Plus, the most popular bike in India. Here are 5 features of this entry-level commuter bike that make it very special.

1. Honda is offering the all-new Shine 100 in a single variant, priced at Rs 64,900 showroom floor. The Honda Shine 100 will take on other 100cc commuter bikes sold in India, including popular bikes like the Hero Splendor Plus, Hero HF Deluxe and Bajaj Platina.

2. The Honda Shan 100 is built on a new diamond frame. It is supported by telescopic front forks and two spring-loaded shock absorbers at the rear. The bike gets drum brakes on both ends along with the combo braking system. Speaking of equipment, the entry-level Commuter gets a simple analog instrument cluster that houses the speedometer, odometer and fuel gauge.
3. Speaking of design, the Honda Shine 100 is similar to its larger Shine 125 model. It comes with a simple halogen headlight, a long one-piece seat, blacked-out elements and 5-spoke alloy wheels. Honda offers the Shine 100 in 5 colors. It comes in a black livery with red, blue, green, gold, and gray stripes, giving it a two-tone appeal.
4. The Honda Shine 100 has a length of 2,044 mm, a width of 736 mm, a height of 1,076 mm, a wheelbase of 1,245 mm, a ground clearance of 168 mm and a seat height of 795 mm. Overall, the bike is okay in terms of size. It’s not too small. Due to the good ground clearance, it can be driven on bumpy roads without any problems.
5. The new Honda Shine 100 is powered by a 99.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine that produces 7.6 horsepower and 8.05 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 4-speed manual, while Honda claims the Shine 100 will be class-leading. Mileage figures have not yet been announced.
