Matter Era: Ahmedabad-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer Matter Motor has announced that the company has received orders for 40,000 units of its Matter Aera electric bikes. The company has received so many bookings in just one month. The biggest feature of the Matter Era electric bike is that it’s the country’s first geared e-bike.
The company’s founder and CEO, Mohal Lalbhai, said the response to the pre-reservation is proof that customers are moving towards futuristic technology. It also marks the beginning of a transformative journey at Matter, and we’re grateful to the passionate people who are joining us to make this journey a fun experience.

Book e-bikes online
Booking a Matter Era e-bike is very easy. You can also book it through the company’s official website or Flipkart. The company also offers the possibility to book the bike through OTO Capital. You would only need to pay a symbolic amount of Rs 999 to pre-reserve the e-bike. This amount will be deducted from the final payment of the bike price.
How high is the price?
Matter Motors has presented the Aera e-bike in two variants. These include Aera 5000 and Aera 5000+. The Aera 5000 costs 1,73,999 rupees and the Aera 5000+ costs 1,83,999 rupees. Both prices are ex showroom in Delhi. If you want to rent an Aira e-bike, the monthly EMI starts at 4,749 rupees.

battery and range
Both variants of the Matter Aera are powered by a 10kW motor paired with a 5kWh solid battery. Matter states that the Aira 5000 and 5000+ offer a range of 125 km. The entire system of the Matter bike features a liquid cooling system that keeps the battery and the bike’s components cool. The bike also gets a four-speed gearbox.
Mater offers three riding modes with his bike: Eco, City and Sport. It also features a fully digital instrument panel with smartphone connectivity for navigation, call and message notifications, and driving statistics. It also has a remote key function, OTA updates and a small storage space in the front.
