It is compulsory for the driver to wear a helmet.

Ola Electric: Over time, companies keep adding many new features to their vehicles. When we talk about electric vehicles, in many cases they are ahead of gasoline-powered vehicles. Ola’s electric scooters are also becoming increasingly popular because of their modern features. These days there are many such electric scooters that offer many features that used to be only available in cars.

Recently, Ola Electric announced that the company will soon update its electric scooters with a feature that will make riding the company’s electric scooters safer. According to the information, Ola is working on a helmet recognition technology for his scooters. This is the first feature of its kind available on an electric scooter for the first time. It is informed that the company may update this feature in the S1 line of scooters.

How will this system work?
This system detects whether the driver is wearing a helmet or not. If the rider tries to ride the scooter without a helmet, the scooter will not start. A camera is used in the scooter to identify the helmet. The clip captured by the camera is sent to the scooter’s vehicle control unit, which detects whether the rider is wearing a helmet or not and in such a case, should give permission to start the scooter or not.

If the driver is not wearing a helmet when starting the scooter, the scooter will remain in parking mode. But as soon as he wears the helmet, the scooter automatically switches from parking mode to driving mode. We tell you that TVS Motor is also developing helmet reminder technology for its iQube electric scooters. The companies claim that this increases driver safety on the road.

The company sold more than 35,000 scooters
Ola Electric broke all previous records, selling more than 35,000 electric scooters in May 2023. With this turnover, the company remained the number 1 electric scooter manufacturer in the country last month. TVS Motor ranked second after Ola Electric, selling 20,233 electric scooters.
