Which bike and when to take a break?
- If you ride a bike in the 100-150cc range, give it a break every 50-70 kilometers or stop for 5 minutes after an hour of riding. The reason for this is that the small engine heats up quickly and in such a situation, the problem of the motorcycle shutting down can also appear. In addition, the motor can stall if it gets too hot.
- On the other hand, you can ride a 300-500cc bike continuously for 150 kilometers on hilly roads. However, it is possible to drive longer distances on a straight road or an expressway. But on hilly roads, the constant shifting in 1st and 2nd gear stresses the engine and heats up quickly.
- On the other hand, you can easily ride 200 kilometers together with a motorcycle with a displacement of 600 ccm or more. Because with such a powerful engine, air cooling technology, i.e. a cooler, is used instead of air cooling technology, which keeps the bike’s engine cool. Although such a long journey together can be tiring.
when you need a break
Although long motorcycle rides can be tiring, if you ride wisely, you will also have an unforgettable experience. Never make a long journey on a motorcycle, rather drive a maximum of 100 kilometers at a time. After that, take a break of 10 minutes. Get off the bike and straighten your body. Eat something or drink water and cold beverages during this time to avoid dehydration. This keeps the body in one position for a long time and can lead to problems such as back pain. At the same time, tingling in the hands and feet can also be felt.
