New Honda bikes: 100cc motorcycles are the most bought in India. These bikes are considered the best for everyday use. Hero Splendor is number 1 in this segment. In terms of sales, it’s always great. However, now Honda will launch a new motorcycle to compete with Hero Splendor. It will come with 100cc. The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer has been testing the new bike for a few days. Now it starts on March 15th. It is believed that this bike will be far ahead in terms of mileage and will also rival Bajaj Platina.

The new bike will be a smaller version of the company’s popular 125cc commuter bike, the Honda Shine. If you believe media reports, the name of the new bike could be “Honda Shine 100”. With the new bike, Honda is poised to compete with Hero MotoCorp in the entry-level commuter motorcycle segment.

In terms of styling, the bike will be similar to the toned-down Honda CB Shine 125 model. Aside from that, the bike will also see telescopic front forks and dual rear shock absorbers, drum brake with optional disc brake variant up front, and analog console with digital readout.

engine and price
Not much information about the bike has been revealed so far, but it is believed that an air-cooled 100cc single-cylinder engine will be featured in the bike. This will be Honda’s lowest powered motorcycle to be sold in the country. Apart from that, it will meet the new BS6 Phase II and RDE compliance standards. It can also be equipped with flex fuel capability. The new Honda 100cc Commuter is expected to cost between Rs 70,000 and 72,000 (ex showroom), which will be lower than the Hero Splendor’s starting price of Rs 72,000.
