Honda Shine 100: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched a new 100cc commuter motorcycle in the Indian market. It was called Shine 100. The starting price is Rs 64,900 ex showroom. The booking of the motorcycle has started. The bike is specially designed for everyday city use to handle the traffic. The company rolled it out for small towns and rural areas. The bike will compete with bikes like Hero Splendor Plus, Bajaj Platina 100 and TVS Star City Plus.
The Honda Shine 100 is powered by a new 100cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine. To improve the mileage, the bike has also been given fuel injection and eSP. Of course, the engine has been developed in accordance with the new upcoming BS6 Phase II standards. The fuel pump is located outside the fuel tank and is equipped with an automatic choke system. This engine produces 7.5 hp at 7,500 rpm and torque of 8.05 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The company claims that mileage of up to 40 miles per liter will be seen in this new bike.

The company also gives a 6-year guarantee
Honda also offers a 3-year express warranty package and an optional 3-year extended warranty on the new Shine 100 bike. The turning radius of this motorcycle is 1.9 meters. The seat height of the Shine 100 is 786 mm and it comes with Combi-Brake System (CBS) with equalizer. This means that the bike will not skid under sudden braking. In addition, for the first time in this segment, the company is offering a side stand engine shut-off in motorcycles.
The bike runs well on bad roads
The motorcycle’s ground clearance is 168 mm, which allows it to handle rough roads better. By design, the Shine 100 looks like a smaller version of the Shine 125. It was launched in 5 color options. The Shine 100 gets a front fascia, black alloy wheels, an aluminum grab bar and a sleek muffler. It also has color options like black with red stripes, black with blue stripes, black with green stripes, black with gold stripes and black with gray stripes.
