New Delhi. Sales of electric scooters are increasing day by day in the country. Meanwhile, people prefer e-scooters over gas scooters. The main reason for this is the low operating costs and low maintenance requirements. In such a situation, OLA has carved a niche in the electric scooter market. If we look at the April sale, Ola has sold the maximum number of electric scooters. While companies like TVS, Bajaj, and Hero have lagged behind. In contrast, Hero MotoCorp did not make the top 5 list in April.
Looking at sales of two-wheelers in April, according to data released by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA), April 2023 shows an increase of 24.80 percent compared to April 2022. This year there were 66,466 units of two-wheelers. That was 53256 units a year ago.

On the other hand, if we look at the sales of TVS and Ampere, we see that both companies are fighting for second place. TVS sold 8,726 units of its electric scooter. And Amps sold 8,318 units.
Ather got hit
After maintaining a good position in the electric scooter market for a long time, Ather has suffered a severe setback. Ather took fourth place in the April sale. The company sold just 7,746 units in April, up 216.03% compared to 2,451 units sold last year, but it fell short of expectations.
Advantage of Bajaj
And right there in fifth place, but Bajaj has conquered its place in this list. The company sold 4,013 units in April, down from just 1,222 units in April 2022. If we look at the growth rate, it was 228.40 percent.
