New Delhi. The figures for the sale of two-wheelers in May are ahead of us. In the last month there has been a huge demand for two wheelers in the market. While Hero MotoCorp remained in first place as usual, second-place Honda’s sales fell last month. In addition, there was also one company that achieved rapid growth of 300%.
Sale of Hero Motorcorp
The country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, announced on Friday that its wholesale sales in May 2023 rose 7 percent year-on-year to 5,19,474 units. The company’s wholesale sales for the same period last year totaled 4,86,704 units. Domestic sales last month totaled 5,08,309 units, down from 4,66,466 units in May 2022.
Honda’s sales fell 6.6%
Total sales of Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) in May 2023 decreased 6.6 percent year-on-year to 3,29,393 units. HMSI said in a statement that the company’s May 2022 sales stood at 3,52,893 units. Last month, domestic sales of Honda motorcycles fell 3 percent to 3,11,144 units, compared to 3,20,857 units in the same period last year.

TVS sale
In the month of May, TVS achieved a 32% growth in the Indian domestic market, selling a total of 330,609 units. The company managed to sell a total of 287,058 units of two-wheelers and 17,953 units of electric two-wheelers. In addition, 11,314 units were sold as tricycles.

Ola Electric
Ola Electric, the nation’s leading two-wheel electric vehicle manufacturer, had a great month in May. The company sold more than 35,000 units this month. During that time, the company held a 30% share of the electric scooter market and also saw a 300% year-on-year growth. However, the price of electric two-wheelers rose due to the reduction in fame funding from June.
