New Delhi. Legendary bike manufacturer Royal Enfield is working on its Hunter 650. The new scrambler bike could be based on the Interceptor 650. The bike was tested near the Chennai factory near the production test mule. It was spotted using heavy camouflage.

Royal Enfield has become the most popular choice for retro motorcycles worldwide. Now the brand plans to expand its portfolio with offerings based on the 350cc (J series) and 650cc platforms. The upcoming Hunter 650 uses the double downtube tubular steel frame of the Interceptor and Continental GT and will inherit design cues from its younger brother, the Hunter 350.

The Scrambler will be equipped with two-channel ABS
For driver safety, the Royal Enfield Hunter 650 will be equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels and dual-channel ABS for better braking and driving characteristics. The suspension of the Scrambler motorcycle is provided by telescopic forks at the front and double gas shock absorber units at the rear.

648cc parallel twin engine
The all-new Royal Enfield Hunter 650 is powered by the same 648cc air and oil-cooled parallel twin engine as the Interceptor 650. The 6-speed transmission for transmission duties is currently in the final stages of the Hunter 650. Royal Enfield is expected to be used on its Launch event at the end of 2023 to announce the price and availability of the motorcycle.
