Hero introduces the new Harley-Davidson, which will give stiff competition to the Royal Enfield Classic 350

New Delhi. Harley-Davidson is a world-renowned brand of bicycle manufacturers. A while ago there was news that the company will launch its Made in India model. Now the company has unveiled the Harley-Davidson Made in India bike. This bike was named Harley-Davidson X440.

This is the first model in the Hero and Harley partnership. The bike is powered by an oil-cooled single-cylinder 440 cc engine. In addition, the bike features LED headlights and fully digital instrumentation. This bike will be launched in India in July.

The look of the bike hasn’t changed much since the first pictures appeared, given its displacement and the fact that it’s oil cooled it will be comparable to the Royal Enfield Classic 350 (20hp/27Nm). Expect it to be more powerful and torquey.

What else is special?
The ergonomics are still fairly neutral. One thing that has changed on the new model is the tyres. Previously fitted with CEAT Zoom Cruise rubber, the X 440 now comes fitted with MRF tires which sport a retro tread pattern just like the Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp. The size of the wheels is 18 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear, giving the bike an attractive, confident look.

From what we can see in these images, the Harley-Davidson X440 should be priced at between 2.5 and 3 lakh rupees (showroom ex) when it hits the market in early July. It will compete with the RE Classic 350, which costs between 1.9 and 2.2 lakh rupees (ex showroom, Delhi).
