If this button is left on, the bike will drink fuel like water. 99% of people don’t know the correct usage

The choke lever is used to cold start the engine.
This also starts the engine, which was idle for many days.
Many people make mistakes when using it.

Kilometer problem with the bike: Most people in India ride two wheelers. Bicycles are also the most popular among two-wheelers. The new age bikes have become quite modern and come with various features. These bikes wear out less and are therefore easier to maintain. But even today there are still many people who ride old two-wheelers.

A lot of people complain that their bike suddenly uses more fuel and doesn’t perform well either. In fact, this happens due to such a lever on the bike, which, when someone turns it, decreases the mileage of the bike. This lever is the bike’s choke, used to start the engine in cold weather. Many people who ride bicycles often do not know how to do it properly. How does the bicycle choke work and how to use it correctly? Let us know …

Don’t make the mistake of leaving it on
Today’s latest motorcycles feature a fuel injection system to pump fuel into the engine. The fuel injection system is more advanced and also saves fuel. However, the older motorcycles used to be equipped with a carburetor system whose job it was to deliver a mixture of fuel and air to the engine. Bikes with carburetors often have starting problems, but if a choke is installed on the bike, the engine will start easily.

In such a situation, many people forget to leave the choke button on, and the bike starts to use more fuel. But why does the bike use more fuel when the choke is engaged? Actually, the job of the choke is to turn on the ignition by directing more fuel to the engine in case the bike won’t start. As soon as the choke button is pressed, the air supply to the carburetor stops and more fuel begins to flow into the engine. This gives the engine enough fuel to ignite and the motorcycle starts. However, as soon as the bike starts, the choke should be closed immediately, otherwise more fuel will enter the engine and the mileage of the bike will decrease.

Where’s the choke?
On many older bikes, the choke is located on the handlebars, and on some bikes it is under the fuel tank. It looks like a lever that can be turned on and off by moving it up and down. If we’re talking about the old Splendor, then it has a choke under the fuel tank.
