New Delhi. Now, a Gujarat startup Matter has caused panic in the fast-growing electric vehicle market. Matter will launch the country’s first electric bike with a manual transmission. Booking of this motorcycle starts on May 17th. There are preparations to launch 4 variants of the bike. The company dubbed this bike the Aera. Aira will come in 4000, 5000, 5000 Plus and 6000 Plus variants. The company states that the three variants of the bike will offer a range of 125km on a single charge, while the 6000 Plus variant will offer a range of up to 150km on a single charge.

Currently, the company has only released the 5000 and 5000 plus variants of the bike. Two more variants will soon be available on the market. The unique selling point of this motorcycle is its manual transmission. Although it is electric, mechanically it behaves like a normal combustion engine bike. The bike gets a 4-speed Hyper-Shift gearbox, which takes it to a speed of 60 km/h in just 6 seconds.
