honda shine 100 : Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has started deliveries of the Honda Shine 100, launched in March, to dealers. The new bike will be shipped nationwide from the company’s Narsapura factory in Karnataka. In the 100cc segment, Honda Shine will compete with Hero Splendor Plus and Bajaj Platina. Honda claims that the Honda Sign 100 will offer best-in-class mileage in the 100cc segment (Honda Shine 100 Mileage). The showroom starting price of the Honda Shine 100 (Honda Shine 100 Price) has been kept at Rs 64,900.
The Honda Shine 100 features a new 100cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine (Honda Shine 100 Engine). It also gets fuel injection and eSP for better mileage. The engine has been developed to the forthcoming BS6 Phase 2 standards. The special thing about it is that the fuel pump is outside the tank and is equipped with an autochoke system. The Honda Shine 100 engine produces 7.5 hp at 7,500 rpm and torque of 8.05 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The company claims that this bike will achieve a mileage of up to 40 miles per liter.

The ground clearance of the Honda Shine 100 is 168 mm. This makes it easy to drive even on bad roads. It was launched in 5 color options. It comes in color options like black with red stripes, black with blue stripes, black with green stripes, black with gold stripes, and black with gray stripes. The Shine 100 also gets a new front fascia, blacked-out alloy wheels and an aluminum grab bar.
Splendor Plus and Platina are challenged
Honda Shine 100 will challenge Splendor Plus directly. In terms of features, Shine rivals Splendor. The Splendor Plus features a 97.2cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that produces 7.9 hp and 8.05 Nm of torque. It also gets a 4-speed gearbox. Hero claims a mileage of 60-70 kmpl. Similarly, the Platina 100 gets an air-cooled, fuel-injected, 102cc single-cylinder engine that produces 7.7hp of power and 8.03Nm of torque. It gets a 4-speed gearbox. It achieves a mileage of 60-70 km/l.
