It is illegal to install aftermarket lights on the bike.
Under the Motor Vehicle Act, it is illegal to modify the headlights of a car, bicycle, or any other vehicle. If the company-supplied light is modified or a separate light or fog light is installed to increase illumination, the RTO will not allow this.
Not only that, even changing the wattage of the bulb is illegal. Even replacing the existing halogen bulbs with LED bulbs is not legal in the eyes of the law.

Aftermarket DRL also illegal
Let us tell you that aftermarket DRL (Daytime Running Light) are also illegal. While DRLs look good and are an important safety feature, fitting aftermarket DRLs is against the law. If your bike does not have a DRL, you cannot have a custom DRL fitted. This allows the traffic police to pull off the bike’s challan.
