New Delhi. Royal Enfield is preparing to launch its fourth motorcycle in the 650cc segment. After the Interceptor 650, Continental GT and Super Meteorio, the company is now launching the Shotgun 650. Recently this bike was also spotted road testing. The bike has been given a certain retro styling, but at the same time its latest features will help it bite the dust of entry-level Harley Davidson and Triumph Motors bikes.

Speaking of the bike’s looks, LED headlights with DRLs were specified in it. At the same time, split seats were given to add retro style. Royal Enfield’s signature twin pod is also placed in the instrument cluster. This device can be semi-digital. In addition, turn-by-turn navigation can also be seen in the motorcycle. Although the company has not yet given any information on the launch of the bike, it is believed that this bike will be launched by the end of this year.

Powerful motor gives speed like a bullet
The motorcycle is powered by an oil-cooled 648 cc engine. It will feature a parallel twin engine. This engine comes from the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT, but has been partially refined. The motorcycle will produce a power of 48 hp. The Shotgun will be the company’s first bike to receive front inverted fork suspension. Pea shooter exhaust was added to the bike.

In addition, the bike has handlebar-end mirrors that underline its retro design. While the wide handlebars and center footpegs make the ride comfortable. At the same time, a single wheel alloy is given to make it different. The motorcycle comes with a 6-speed gearbox. At this time the company has not announced the price of the bike but it is believed that this bike will be launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 3-3.5 lakh.

Compete with Harley, Triumph and BMW
The iShotgun will compete head-to-head with entry-level motorcycles from Harley Davidson, Triumph and BMW. The biggest pluses of the bike will be the easily accessible service and mileage. At the same time, the price of these three companies’ motorcycles will also be higher, which will also directly benefit them. However, Shotgun’s competition with the bikes from these three companies will be worth seeing.
