New Delhi. Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson are working on a new mid-size motorcycle. The company has made preparations to launch this bike both in the world market and in India. Although the official launch date of this bike has not yet been announced, it is believed that it will be launched by the end of 2023.
This will be the first Hero Harley bike made in India. It was recently sighted at CIT’s research and development facility in Jaipur. Now the first picture of this bike has appeared. The new Made-in-India Harley-Davidson bike was designed at the company’s Milwaukee center, while Hero will be responsible for development and testing. In terms of design, this model will look different from the Harley-Davidson X350 that launched in China last month. It seems to borrow some design cues from Harley’s Sportster bikes and the XR 1200X.

How’s the look?
The bike gets a round LED headlight with LED daytime running lights, LED turn signals, wide handlebars, a muscular fuel tank, a split grab bar, a one-piece seat, and a TFT instrument cluster. It will likely get a simple console display showing information like the tach, speedometer, clock and fuel gauge. It will be assembled with 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels and CEAT Zoom Cruise tires.
engine power
For performance, the new Hero Harley bike is powered by a new 420cc air/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch. The bike will have a telescopic fork at the front and two shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are handled by Bybrae front and rear disc brakes, further assisted by a dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).
