This allows truck operators to avoid large losses.

New Delhi. Petrol or diesel theft, one or the other was or is still facing this problem. But there was still no solution to this problem. But now a Pune-based company, Intangles Lab, has developed such a device that will uncover all types of gasoline and diesel theft in a snap. The company also received a patent for this device from the US Patent and Trademark Office. This device provides the user with real-time information on how much diesel fuel was poured and where it came from.

The fuel theft monitoring system is currently designed and deployed for commercial vehicles. The main goal of this device is to create transparency between truck drivers, petrol stations and fleet operators. According to the company, this device uncovered the theft of two lakh liters in one month. At the same time, the theft of about 1 million liters of fuel in three months was stopped.

How petrol is stolen
According to a Hindustan Times report, the company’s co-founder and head of analytics, Aman Singh, said that when we talk about large commercial vehicles, a 40-ton or 50-ton truck doesn’t do much mileage and travels 2 to 3 km. Can run in a liter. In such a situation, truck operators suffer great damage from diesel theft.

Aman said diesel theft usually happens in two ways. For one thing, only truck drivers do that. For example, you get 100 liters of diesel fuel in the vehicle and take a bill for 200 liters. In this case, the truck operator directly suffers a loss of 100 liters. While the second method is carried out at the gas pump. Only 90 liters of fuel are poured out of the pump instead of 100 liters. But the meter shows a full 100 liters.

how is the thief caught
Aman said our device will provide fleet operators with accurate information on how much fuel has been put into the vehicle. It will be an external device with sensors located in the fuel tank. These sensors record the exact amount of fuel consumed. This complete information reaches the fleet operator in real time on the mobile phone. It gives you complete information about how much fuel was put into the truck, at which point or pump and how much fuel was put in.

The device is installed in Mahindra vehicles
The company is currently partnering with Mahindra on this system. This device is installed in new Mahindra trucks. In addition, the company is in discussions with IOCL and BPCL regarding this technology. Aman says no modifications are required to install this device and it will not damage the truck’s fuel tank.

Can also be installed in cars
According to Aman, this device is currently designed for commercial vehicles, but it can also be used in passenger cars. He said that a separate device is also being developed for passenger cars and will soon be on the market.
