New Delhi. German car manufacturer BMW has launched its R18 Transcontinental premium cruiser bike in India. While there are many unique features about this bike, the biggest one is that for the price of this one bike, 5 Alto cars can be bought. The company has maintained its starting price of Rs. 31.5 lakh ex-showroom, which costs more than Rs. 35 lakh on the street. Now a total of three BMW motorcycles have emerged from the cruiser segment. These include the BMW R18, R18 Classic and the R 18 Transcontinental.
The motorcycle was specially developed for touring. Speaking of design, along with the windshield, wind deflector, wide passenger pillion, storage case, cast alloy wheel and handlebar-mounted fairing put it in its own category. Not one or two, but four analog instruments were placed in the car. There is also a large 10.25-inch color TFT display.

It delivers 91 hp and achieves a maximum torque of 158 Nm. The bike has received a 6-speed constant-mesh gearbox. Due to the large and heavy construction of the motorcycle, it has also been given a reverse gear. In addition, depending on the driving conditions, three driving modes Rain, Roll and Rock were assigned. The motorcycle weighs 427 kg with a full tank. It has a fuel tank of 24 liters.
