2023 Bajaj Chetak electric scooter rivals Hero Ola and Honda launch soon with more range and new features as best two-wheeler

Bajaj Chetak electric: Bajaj Auto will soon launch a new electric scooter in India. This will be the new electric version of the legendary Bajaj Chetak scooter. The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer launched the Chetak Electric for the first time in 2020. This will be the first time the updated version of the Chetak electric scooter will be launched. The scooter will also be upgraded with more range and new-age features to compete with other scooters on the market.

This electric scooter was very popular in the 80s. It is said that it was required as a dowry. When the delivery of the scooter was not received from the company, the date of the marriage was also extended.

What range will the new scooter have?
Now more range will be seen in the new Bajaj Chetak. The range per charge of the current model is almost 90 km, while the range of the upcoming Chetak electric scooter can be around 110 km. One thing to note is that the Chetak will no longer have the range to compete with the new generation scooters. Currently, the Ather 450X offers a range of 146 km, the Ola S1 Pro a range of 181 km and the TVS iQube ST a range of 145 km.

Bajaj Chetak is powered by a 4080 watt BLDC motor. Bajaj Chetak takes 5 hours to fully charge its 50.4V/60.4Ah battery and has a claimed range of 80km/charge. This one variant is available in Premium. The scooter gets LED lighting and turn signals, as well as a fully digital Bluetooth instrument cluster. Many functions are available in this one.

How much does the new scooter cost?
The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter has a 3.8kW electric motor and a 3kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It develops a maximum torque of 16 Nm. It has two driving modes, Eco and Sport, and its top speed is 70 km/h. The Chetak is currently priced at Rs. 1.52 lakh showroom-ex and the upcoming new electric scooter could be priced a bit higher.
