Hero has trademarked the new name for the bike.
It may be called Hero Nightster 440.
The launch is part of the Hero Harley partnership.
New Delhi. Hero MotoCorp is a popular two wheeler brand in the Indian market. The company recently introduced the Harley-Davidson X440 bike as part of its partnership with Harley. This is by far the cheapest Harley bike in India. The company is now preparing to expand its product range as part of this partnership. In addition, the company is working on many new models for the Indian market.
The company is working on new motorcycles in the 350cc-500cc segment and preparing to launch new products in this area. The company will also launch a new 400cc motorcycle to compete with the Royal Enfield brand, which is very popular in India. The company registered the name “Nightster 440” for this bike. Currently, Royal Enfield is the leading brand in India in the 350cc segment. The company’s Royal Enfield Classic 350 is the best-selling bike in this segment. Meanwhile, other brands in this segment are also launching new models to compete with it.

Collision with Royal Enfield
The direct competition for the Nightster 440 will be Royal Enfield’s 350cc bikes. Aside from that, it will also get a challenge from the recently introduced Triumph Speed 400. The Hero Nightster 440 bike will share the platform with the Harley-Davidson X440. However, the design and front seating position will differ significantly from those of the Harley motorcycle.

What will the look be like?
No official information on the look of Hero’s new bike has been announced yet, but it is believed that the company will launch it with a retro look. It can be outfitted with round headlights and bar-end mirrors, a beefy fuel tank, wide handlebars, a round instrument cluster and sporty exhaust pipes. The transmission will be similar to that of the Harley X440. As already mentioned, this motorcycle is powered by a 440cc oil/air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 27 HP and 38 Nm of torque.
