New Delhi. Coimbatore-based vehicle manufacturer CRA Motorsport launched the Atom GP1 racing bike to instill a passion for motorsport in children since childhood. This racing bike is specially designed for children. It can be operated by children from 10 to 17 years old. The company has left the price of the Atom GP1 bike at 2.75 lakh rupees. According to the company, this is not a street-legal bike and can only be ridden on racetracks.

The company states that with the Atom GP1 children can also start the motorsport experience. This bike will help him pursue a career in motorsport in the future. According to the company, it took three years from design to production of the Atom GP1. The first prototype was prepared by the company in 2020. Before the company started producing the bike, they tested it by running it for several months at different racetracks around the country.

The bike has a 160cc engine
The Atom GP1 is powered by a 159cc engine. This motor can produce 15 hp and 13.85 Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike features a custom frame, USD front forks and rear monoshock. Disc brakes are installed on both wheels of the bike.

The bike sits on TVS Ntorq 125 alloy wheels shod with TVS Remora tires. To make the bike lighter, the company used fiberglass body panels. At the same time, it was fitted with a sporty SS racing exhaust that improves the performance of the bike.

The Atom GP1 motorcycle is also used to train children to race and participate in motorsport events. The company makes the bike in Coimbatore. The company has the capacity to produce 250 motorcycles per year at its plant.
